For learners
Certificates should show what was completed, when it was completed and how the CPD hours are connected to the learning activity.
CPD Qualifications reviews the evidence behind professional learning, so course accreditation, provider approval and assessor status are tied to records that can be checked later.

Purpose
CPD is often used later by learners, employers, professional bodies and procurement teams. That means the course title, CPD hours, provider responsibility, certificate wording and approval route all need to be clear enough to understand after the training has ended.
Our role is to review the evidence behind those claims. We look at course materials, provider processes and assessor credentials so that approval wording is connected to a real review record.
How we work
Course accreditation is for a named learning activity. Provider approval is for the organisation and its controls. Assessor approval is for a person with relevant professional standing in a defined field. Keeping these routes separate helps protect learners and providers from unclear or overstated claims.
Where a submission needs more evidence, the review should make that clear. Where approval is confirmed, the certificate or approval wording should describe the reviewed route accurately.
Read the evidence requirementsCertificates should show what was completed, when it was completed and how the CPD hours are connected to the learning activity.
Approval should help explain the organisation, the course evidence and the controls behind learner records.
Assessor approval should be limited to areas where professional background and subject judgement can be evidenced.
