Provider mark
For approved providers only. It confirms provider approval, not individual course approval.

Approved logos are evidence marks, not decoration. They should be used only for the route, organisation, assessor or course record that has been reviewed and approved.

Logo use
CPD Qualifications logos may be used only where the relevant approval has been confirmed. The logo should help learners, employers and clients understand what has been reviewed. It should never be used to stretch a claim beyond the approval record.
The safest approach is simple: use the correct mark, keep the wording close to the approved route, show the relevant approval number where required, and remove the mark when approval no longer applies. Provider approval does not give automatic permission to use course marks or learner certificate wording for individual courses.
Approved artwork
Each mark is supplied in two versions: one for use on a blue background and one transparent version for use on light backgrounds. Choose the version that keeps the logo clear and readable.
For approved providers only. It confirms provider approval, not individual course approval.

For approved assessors only. Use within the approved assessor scope and approval period.

For CPD Qualifications use and approved wording where the relevant route has been confirmed.

Rules
These rules apply wherever the logo appears, including course pages, certificates, learner handbooks, email signatures, presentation decks, provider proposals, social posts and printed materials.
Course approval, provider approval and assessor approval are different records. The logo used on a website, certificate, prospectus or course page must match the approval that has actually been granted.
A provider mark can show that the organisation has provider approval. It must not be placed on individual course pages or learner certificates in a way that suggests those courses are approved unless each named course has completed its own course accreditation review.
Where a provider or assessor number is shown, it should belong to that approved provider or assessor. Do not reuse a number for another organisation, person, course or trading name.
The logo must not be used to imply that a course is Ofqual regulated, sits on the RQF, awards a diploma, licence or regulated qualification, or gives the learner a formal qualification unless that is separately true and evidenced.
Do not redraw, stretch, recolour, crop, rotate, add effects, change the type, remove the lion, remove the approval number, or place the mark inside another badge or seal.
The logo should appear large enough to read clearly. Leave clear space around it, avoid busy backgrounds, and use the blue-background version when the transparent version would not have enough contrast.
If approval expires, is paused, withdrawn or no longer applies to the course or provider, the logo should be removed from websites, certificates, brochures, social posts and sales materials.

Where it appears
A logo is easiest to trust when it appears beside accurate wording. Avoid placing the mark on a page in a way that makes approval look broader than it is, especially where multiple courses, providers or trading names are shown together.
Use course approval wording only where the named course has been individually reviewed. A provider certificate alone does not permit logo use on course certificates or individual course pages.
Provider use should describe the organisation approval accurately. It should not make every course look approved unless each course claim is also supported by the relevant review record.
Assessor use should stay within the approved subject scope. It should not imply wider approval, employment by CPD Qualifications, or authority to approve courses outside the agreed review process.
Before publishing
Before publishing a logo, check that the approval is current, the correct logo version is used, the provider or assessor number is accurate, and the wording around the mark matches the approved route. If the page or certificate is for a specific course, check that the course itself has been approved.
If a page describes CPD hours, certificates or approval status, the surrounding copy should be as careful as the mark itself. Do not use the logo to imply a regulated qualification, an awarding-body relationship, a licence to practise, or approval of material that has not been reviewed.

Short answers for approved providers, assessors and course teams using CPD Qualifications marks.
Only organisations or individuals with current approval for the relevant route may use the matching logo. Use must stay within the approval scope and wording confirmed by CPD Qualifications.
No. The logo artwork should not be altered, redrawn, recoloured, stretched, cropped or placed inside another mark. Use the supplied transparent or blue-background version.
Yes, where certificate use has been approved and the wording matches the relevant course, provider or assessor record. A provider certificate alone cannot be used as a learner course certificate, and the certificate must not imply a regulated qualification unless one exists separately.
No. Provider approval does not automatically approve individual courses. Course pages, learner certificates and course approval marks need separate course accreditation where a named course is being promoted as approved CPD.
The logo should be removed from public and learner-facing materials when approval expires, is withdrawn, or no longer applies to the course, provider or assessor claim being made.
Application enquiry
Send a short outline of the course, provider or assessor request. The assessment office will confirm which route applies and what evidence is needed before review begins.
