CPD accreditation for international training providers.

Independent CPD accreditation for training providers, training centres, schools and professional learning organisations outside the UK.

UK-based, open to international applications

CPD Qualifications™ is an independent CPD accreditation organisation based in the United Kingdom. We accept applications from eligible training providers and professional learning organisations operating internationally, subject to our evidence and assessment requirements.

Organisations outside the UK are assessed through the same evidence-based principles applicable to the relevant approval route. Geographic location does not replace or reduce the requirement to demonstrate the quality, structure and supporting evidence behind the professional learning submitted.

Our role is to review the evidence and document the outcome. International applications may require clarification to establish the provider’s identity, course context or relevant jurisdiction.

What an accreditation record demonstrates

Successful accreditation connects the provider, the learning activity, the evidence reviewed and the resulting decision.

Depending on the route and scope, the record may identify the following information.

Information connected to an international accreditation record
RecordWhat it identifies
Provider identityThe organisation responsible for the learning.
Course identity and versionThe specific programme and version presented for accreditation.
Learning outcomesWhat learners are expected to achieve.
Learning materialsThe evidence supporting delivery of those outcomes.
Assessment arrangementsHow learner achievement or completion is determined.
Learning durationThe active learning time represented by the programme.
Trainer or subject competenceRelevant expertise where required by the programme.
Findings and corrective actionsIssues identified during review and the responses considered.
Final accreditation decisionThe outcome following completion of the assessment process.
Accreditation referenceAn identifiable reference connecting the approved programme to its record.

Evidence you can explain to learners and partners

A structured accreditation record can help demonstrate the quality-assurance arrangements behind a named professional-development programme. It shows that the programme has undergone an external review rather than relying solely on the provider’s own description.

This may be useful when communicating with learners, corporate clients, employers and partners. Describe the approved programme and its scope accurately, and link the claim to its reference where verification is available.

Acceptance remains a decision for the relevant organisation. Accreditation does not guarantee recognition by every employer, professional body or country.

Different organisations, clearly defined approval routes

Choose the route that reflects what you need reviewed. Organisational approval and individual course accreditation serve different purposes.

Training providers and centres

Provider approval reviews the organisation’s training controls, learner support and records. Individual programmes can have separate accreditation records, useful where a centre delivers courses across several subjects.

Provider approval requirements

Schools, colleges and education organisations

Staff development, professional workshops, short courses and continuing education outside formal qualification provision may be considered. CPD accreditation of an activity does not accredit the institution or replace education-sector approval or regulation.

Review the course route

Corporate and workforce training

Internal or external professional learning can be supported by defined outcomes, documented learning time, course materials and assessment or completion arrangements. Accreditation records relate to the programme reviewed.

Prepare your evidence

International verification

An accreditation claim should be capable of being verified. Approved providers and courses can be issued an identifiable CPD Qualifications™ reference. Where a public record is available, it allows third parties to check the organisation or course name, reference, status and applicable validity information.

Private course materials, assessments and confidential evidence are not published through the public verification record. The public record confirms key approval information; it does not grant permission to reproduce the underlying course materials.

International accreditation and local requirements

CPD accreditation does not replace local approval, licensing or professional requirements.

CPD Qualifications™ accreditation is independent professional-development accreditation. It should not be interpreted as government approval, a regulated qualification, professional licensing or authorisation to practise.

Requirements differ between countries, professions and industries. Providers remain responsible for determining whether a course requires approval, licensing, recognition or registration from a government authority, professional regulator, employer, awarding organisation or other body in each country where it is offered.

Learners should confirm whether the learning meets their own employer’s or professional body’s CPD requirements before relying on it for a particular purpose.

Technical and safety-sensitive programmes

Occupational health and safety, engineering, construction, first aid and other technical subjects may require additional evidence or specialist review. Identify the legislation, standards, regulations or industry guidance relied upon, including the jurisdiction and relevant sources.

Where a programme is offered in more than one country, make clear which content is common and which material addresses local requirements. Provide the current version intended for review and relevant evidence of author or trainer competence.

Accreditation of the professional-development activity does not itself establish compliance with another country’s statutory or licensing requirements.

Learning materials and reference sources prepared for assessment

Prepare evidence that can be understood across borders

Give the reviewer a clear account of the organisation, the course and the setting in which it is delivered. A programme offered in several countries should identify its intended audiences and any country-specific versions.

Organisation details and responsibility

Provide the legal or trading name, country of operation, relevant registration details where applicable, and the person responsible for the application. Explain the relationship between a parent organisation, local centre and delivery partner where these differ.

Language and source documents

Identify the language of the course and supporting documents at enquiry stage. Ask the assessment office what translated material or explanation is needed before commissioning translations. Keep original document names and version references clear so supporting material can be matched to the course.

Delivery and completion

Explain whether learning is delivered in person, live online, through recordings or through a blended programme. Show how attendance, progress, assessment and successful completion are established, especially where more than one centre delivers the same course.

Hours, versions and certificate wording

State active learning time separately from breaks and administration. Submit the version intended for accreditation and the proposed learner certificate. Distinguish your own completion certificate from any external award or professional recognition claimed.

Describe your approval accurately after assessment

Refer to the named provider or course, approved scope and applicable validity period. A course approval should not be presented as approval of every programme offered by an organisation, and provider approval should not be presented as a regulated qualification.

Use the appropriate mark only under the logo use guidelines. Where public verification is available, give learners and clients the approval reference so they can check the record directly.

If you change the language, learning outcomes, assessment, delivery arrangements or jurisdiction-specific content of an approved course, tell the assessment office when the change could affect the basis of approval. Depending on its significance, updated evidence or review of the affected elements may be needed.

For questions about the proposed route, document language or programme scope, contact the assessment office before preparing a full submission.

Your international application, step by step

Start with the organisation and intended learning. The review then follows the evidence and scope of the application.

Submit organisation details

Tell us where your organisation operates, who is responsible for the application and which professional learning you want accredited.

Provide evidence

Supply the applicable provider and course evidence, including the complete current course, outcomes, learning duration and completion arrangements. Identify the jurisdictions relevant to the content.

Assessment

We review the evidence against the applicable CPD Qualifications™ requirements. Additional evidence or clarification may be requested to understand the provider, course or technical context.

Respond to findings

Where necessary, provide clarification, corrective action or revised evidence. Responses are reviewed against the findings before an outcome is confirmed.

Accreditation decision

Decisions are subject to human review. Successful applications receive the applicable accreditation documentation and reference; an application or payment does not guarantee approval.

Verification and ongoing approval

Accreditation remains subject to its approved scope, validity and ongoing requirements. Notify us of material changes to the course or organisation that could affect the basis of approval.

Questions about international CPD accreditation

What applicants outside the UK should know before submitting evidence.

Can an organisation outside the UK apply?

Yes. Applications can be considered from eligible international organisations subject to the applicable evidence and assessment requirements.

Does accreditation make my course a UK qualification?

No. CPD accreditation does not create a regulated UK qualification or an RQF level.

Will my course automatically be recognised in every country?

No. Recognition and professional requirements vary by jurisdiction, profession, employer and regulatory body. Providers and learners should check the requirements relevant to their circumstances.

Can international training centres have multiple courses accredited?

Yes. Individual courses can be submitted for assessment, while provider approval separately considers the organisation’s wider quality arrangements. Provider approval does not automatically accredit every course.

Can a school or college apply?

Appropriate professional-development activities, such as staff workshops or short courses, may be considered. Approval of an activity does not constitute accreditation of the school or college as an educational institution.

Can technical courses be accredited?

Potentially, yes. Technical and safety-sensitive programmes may require additional evidence or subject-specific review. Providers should identify the jurisdictions and technical sources on which the course relies.

Can someone verify our accreditation?

Approved records can carry an identifiable CPD Qualifications™ reference, with public verification information available where applicable. Private assessment evidence is not published.
